About the Artist:

Born in 1985, Stacey began dabbling in art at a very young age:

“My mom has this picture of her that I drew when I was four. It’s on a post-it note, and it was my impression of her first thing in the morning. Despite it’s crudeness, she still has it hung up in her bedroom today!”

Always interested in the unique worlds of both literary and visual art, Stacey spent much of her childhood reading and writing. She began experimenting with her own artistic projects in junior high, and continued on to take four years of sculpture and assorted drawing classes in high school.

Stacey attended Boston College, and spent a semester in Venice, Italy, studying the works of the Venetian Masters. She recently graduated from BC in May of 2008 with a BA in English and a BFA in Studio Art, concentrating in Painting. She has experience working as an Installation and Exhibition Design Assistant for the McMullen Museum, and is currently a Research Assistant for an artist/writer.  Stacey plans to pursue a career in the arts.
